This collage, with its playful title, challenges the patriarchal narrative that women are solely defined by their role as subservient to men. Inspired by the iconic imagery of Salome serving John the Baptist’s decapitated head on a platter and Artemisia Gentileschi’s graphic version of “Judith Slaying Holofernes,” this piece subverts traditional interpretations by reimagining the concept of "service." Instead of passive obedience, the collage suggests a more empowering perspective, where women are not merely objects of male desire but active agents capable of wielding their own power and agency. Through a clever juxtaposition of historical references and contemporary commentary, this work invites viewers to reconsider the complex dynamics of gender roles and the enduring struggle for equality.
