Emily Teachout is a collage artist based in Wheeling, West Virginia. With a B.A. in History from Wheeling Jesuit University and an M.L.I.S. from Kent State University, she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her work. Emily's art is a powerful exploration of femininity and its intersections with societal norms, historical contexts, and political realities. Through collage, manipulation, and juxtaposition, she challenges traditional narratives and offers alternative viewpoints, free from the constraints of the male gaze. Her focus on themes like body image, sexuality, and identity invites viewers to contemplate the complexities of womanhood and the enduring power of visual representation.

Her collages have been exhibited at Clientele Art Studio and the Artisan Center Gallery in Wheeling.

Meet My Art Assistants!

Alice Cooper

Alice is a very sweet, but anxious, girl who loves sitting on magazines, napping, cuddling, and spending time with her cactus toy. She also enjoys birdwatching and begging for treats.

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

Elvira is sweet, but also a menace. She loves getting into trouble, being chased, eating pumpkin, meowing (a lot), and watching the birds and chipmunks outside.
